The Public Works Department re-installed the original Jacksonville Cemetery gate after it was refurbished in the summer of 2018.

The Public Works Department provides for the management and maintenance of the City's infrastructure, including parks, streets, sidewalks, storm water collection, water distribution,  and utility billing.  The Public Works Department also maintains Jacksonville’s Historic Cemetery.  The Public Works Department provides effective and efficient services that contribute to the safety, health and quality of life for the citizens, businesses, customers, visitors and employees of Jacksonville.  We are dedicated to excellence in developing and maintaining an advanced infrastructure to meet the needs of our community.
