The Planning Commission consists of five voting members at large, and one, non-voting City Councilor Liaison. The Commission shall meet a minimum of four times per year, once each quarter, with more frequent meetings as required to meet the City's planning needs.
The Planning Commission is empowered to make decisions and hold hearings relating to land use, public facilities, circulation, community appearance and similar matters affecting the development of the City and its environs, including, but not limited to, zoning, signs and capital improvements. The Commission may recommend to the Council specific amendments to the Comprehensive Plan that may be proposed from time to time by the public, the Commission or the Council.
